Nice bar great juke box Great owner. If your looking truely Alaskan dive this is it.. I love this authentic old-time Alaska bar. It's like stepping back in time. Interesting memorabilia. The building is one of the original Kenai Peninsula Roadhouses, continuously operating since 1954. On site is an historic smokehouse built in 1961, and I was invited to visit the greenhouse garden. The locals were very friendly when I went in. This is a great stop to bring visitors to get a feel for the real Alaska! Sleeping Lady Gifts has great prices and I and some seasonal dock worker friends went in to do early Christmas shopping. We got great bargains on Alaskan jewelry and crafts to take home. They have free camping, a couple cabins and it's a good stop for wi-fi or just to use your phone since I drive back and forth a lot, and it's the only spot for a few miles where I can get reception.
